Reon was born in Knysna, South Africa. His passion for film came at a young age which motivated him to start practicing Goju-Ruy Karate, gymnastics, trampoline, cliff diving, skateboarding and aggressive inline. This led to competing at a high level of martial arts - including kickboxing where he holds three World Championship Titles at the ISKA US Open.

  

His main goals were to become a professional stunt performer, stunt double and producer. In 2011 he moved to Cape Town to pursue stunts in film. With the mindset of continuously learning new skill sets - stunts came naturally and his passion for film-making grew.

 

As a stunt performer, Reon was afforded the opportunity to work closely with Philip Winchester as his stunt double on Cinemax’s STRIKE BACK tv-series. It is here where Reon gained the knowledge of the importance of the stunt double and actor’s relationship in order to extract the actor's full potential to achieve the highest quality product on-screen.

 

Stunts took Reon around the world, working with various international stunt teams and doubling some of the most renowned actors like Chris Evans, Vin Diesel, Dolph Lundgren, Alan Ritchson, Bill Skarsgård and Bollywood stars include: Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar and John Abraham.

 

Reon holds a Screen Actors Guild Award (SAG) for outstanding action performance as well as a Guinness World Record.

 

In 2019 Reon wrote and produced his first short film, Ninth Life Crisis, teaming up with longtime friend and stunt professional DeVille Vannik. This acted as a catalyst to learn the skills necessary in order to produce high-quality action filmmaking with the foundation of a strong narrative which led to the birth of Turbo Action.
